Upcoming Dates

Wednesday, February 17, 2010 -

We will be entertained by two special guests, U-Who the Magnificent and Dr. Buc Chuckwagon (aka St. Bernard's own Mike Coffey and Joe De Mott, respectively).

U-Who the Magnificent begins the program showing off his wondrous magician tricks that will have you howling with laughter, hopefully!

Then Dr. Buc Chuckwagon, a Civil War era doctor, from the play "Hang 'Em High in the Selma Sky" by Steven Stoli will tell us about his medical practice in the Wild West town of Selma, including his main cure for everything—taking his patients down to his root cellar and giving them a blood letting. Unfortunately, many of his patients don't survive, but old Doc, under the influence of his favorite remedy, has fun trying to cure them.

To guarantee you have some laughter in your heart, our program wraps up with another internationally-known and loved skit performed by Mike Coffey. You will be amazed!

*March 24, 2010.

A representative from San Antonio Creekways will familiarize us with the newer Linear Parkways in the area.  In the past two years, the San Antonio City Parks and Recreation Department has acquired and developed 980 additional acres for hiking and biking in San Antonio along Leon and Salado Creeks and the Medina River.  A representative from the department will tell us more about the trails, the construction, and future plans for these trails that provide outdoor enjoyment and recreation in our city.

*This is a change in the normal monthly meeting date for this month only.
